Oonagh Monahan is a food business consultant, mentor and trainer specialising in start-up, business development and innovation. She has clients in Ireland, Northern Ireland and across Europe, working with them at every stage from start-up through growth to export. With over 25 years’ experience in the food sector, Oonagh works with artisan producers, small and medium sized producers and right up to large multinationals, and previously worked for the Kerry Group (Grove Turkeys) and Premier Foods (Manor Bakeries). To date Oonagh has mentored over food & drink 300 food start-ups many of whom are now on supermarket shelves in the multiple retailers. Some of these include bakers, chocolatiers, dips and sauce producers, jam-makers and honey-producers, ice-cream, yogurt & cheesemakers and many more.
She also works at the interface of the food industry and Academia, at the forefront of technology transfer and collaboration.
