This year judging will be held at the Cooks Academy in Dublin. The venue is Dublin’s most central Culinary School situated just off Ireland’s famous shopping street, Grafton Street. The 4,000 sq ft premises offers full immersion Culinary Programmes for aspiring Cooks and Chefs, in addition to cooking lessons for amateur enthusiasts, corporate team building groups and tour operator visitors.
In the kitchen, our team of fully qualified chefs and home economists will prepare, serve and store the products. They will:
- Calibrate the ovens before judging begins, using domestic ovens and microwaves to ensure the process reflects cooking in the home
- Ensure all items are prepared exactly to their on-pack instructions, as a consumer would at home
- Make sure every judge gets a sample that accurately reflects the whole product
- Photograph any damaged or poorly performing products for feedback
This upholds the integrity of the awards and ensures they maintain their high standards.
