Meet the 2023 Judges

The judging process

Here at the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards we have a stringent judging process. Find out more about the process that the products you entered into the awards would have been through here: The Judging Process

For every product entered, all our entrants receive detailed feedback from our judging panel, which will highlight where and how the product met the criteria or fell short of progressing to the final steps; this has also proved to be really helpful for aiding with future product development.

Product of the Year

At the end of each judging category, our judges have a discussion and can choose to put forward to be considered for Product of the Year. A separate judging panel, at the end of the fortnight of judging, will then re-judge those products put forward and choose one to be awarded Product of the Year! This means that every Gold-rated product this year is in for a chance for scooping up an additional award.

What happens next?

Now judging has finished, the team are putting together the shortlist. This will be announced on Monday 24 July. The Awards Night is on Wednesday 6 September when all the winners will be announced!
