About Us
Now in its 12th year, the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards are renowned for being the most prestigious awards in the Irish food and Drink Industry.
Entries are judged by our independent judging panel of over 100 industry experts, during an extremely rigorous judging process. By winning an Irish Quality Food and Drink Award, and displaying the logo on the products, you are demonstrating to both existing and potential customers that you have earned the gold standard of excellence.
All entrants receive detailed feedback from our esteemed panel of judges, and winners also benefit from receiving a recognised accreditation that helps to facilitate new business and accelerate the process of breaking into the retail market.
How do the categories work?
We have a vast number of product categories and these are split into 4 main groups:
- All Year Round Categories
- Christmas Categories
- Drinks Categories
- Foodservice Categories
We also have three Performance Awards categories: Rising Star of the Year, Supplier of the Year and Own Label of the Year. These are free to enter.
There are a number of additional awards that all exceptional Gold-winning entrants and products are automatically considered for and these include
Christmas Product of the Year and Christmas Retailer of the Year
Drinks Product of the Year and Drinks Retailer of the Year
Foodservice Product of the Year and Foodservice Provider of the Year
Small Producer Award
All businesses with fewer than 10 staff and an annual turnover of less than €1million are automatically entered into our Small Producer award category.
As our panel of judges considers products throughout the judging process within its category, they also discuss which Small Producer products should be put forward to be considered for Small Producer of the Year. These products are all then put through to an additional round of judging, with one crowned Small Producer of the Year.
Medium Producer Discount
New for 2025, we are delighted to announce a new price tier of €199, for companies with annual sales of above €1 million and below €3 million. The price is valid for any product sold under a brand name. Simply complete the form below to get the discount code to apply to your entries.
