Heineken Ireland is broadening its alcohol-free offering with two new Heineken 0.0 variants, Lemon Elderflower and Nectarine Juniper, in a move designed to keep pace with the growing appetite for no- and low-alcohol drinks in the Irish market.

The company says the launch builds on the success of Heineken 0.0, which it describes as the country’s leading non-alcoholic beer brand since its debut in 2018. According to the Irish Examiner, the new flavours are intended to appeal to drinkers looking for more choice as moderation and experimentation become more common in Ireland.

Heineken has invested more than €30m in its alcohol-free category in Ireland since 2018, and the brand is now available on draught in more than 3,000 hospitality outlets, alongside nationwide retail distribution. Drinks Ireland figures cited by the company show non-alcohol beer sales rose by 25% in 2024 and have climbed by 150% over five years, underscoring the sector’s rapid expansion.

Fiona Curtin, Heineken Ireland’s marketing director, said the company is responding to consumers who are increasingly open to new taste profiles, while Brian Malone, the off-trade director, said the retail channel has been central to the brand’s growth. The new drinks are double-brewed to remove alcohol and are being sold in 4x330ml packs in major retailers, with each serving containing 64 calories.
