Primeline Group has announced a ten-year, multimillion-euro agreement to become Tayto Snacks' exclusive warehousing and distribution partner across Ireland, reinforcing its position in the country's logistics sector and supporting key retail outlets nationwide.
Primeline Group has secured a ten-year, multimillion-euro agreement to become the exclusive warehousing and distribution partner for Tayto Snacks across Ireland, a move that cements a partnership that began in 2015 and deepens Primeline’s position in the country’s logistics sector. According to Checkout.ie, the contract will see large volumes of Tayto and other brands flow through Primeline’s facilities and national delivery network each week, supplying more than 2,000 retail outlets.
The arrangement will cover a wide portfolio of brands, including Tayto, Hunky Dorys, King, O’Donnell’s, Hula Hoops, Popchips, KP Nuts, Penn State and McCoy’s, with tens of thousands of boxes moving through Primeline’s warehousing operations on a weekly basis, the outlet reported. Primeline’s network will be responsible for ensuring product availability across convenience stores, supermarkets and other retail channels nationwide.
Primeline, which employs around 1,400 people and operates a 400-vehicle fleet, will leverage its existing reach to fulfil the contract. Company figures indicate the group already services roughly 7,500 retailers and completes about 30,000 deliveries weekly, details that underline the scale of the logistical task.
Tim Cummins, Primeline’s chief executive, described the deal as “a significant vote of confidence in Primeline’s capability and people.” He added: “Tayto is one of Ireland’s most recognisable household brands, and we are proud to continue supporting their growth with a first-class warehousing and distribution service. Our focus is simple: deliver efficiently, protect product quality, and ensure availability in every store. This partnership reflects the strength of our infrastructure and the trust we’ve built over many years.” Those remarks were made in the company announcement accompanying the contract renewal.
John O’Connor, managing director of Tayto Snacks, praised Primeline’s performance and said: “Primeline has consistently delivered high standards of service and reliability. Renewing this partnership for a further ten years ensures we can continue to meet demand across Ireland and keep our products available to consumers nationwide.” Tayto’s statement framed the agreement as part of its strategy to secure steady distribution and maintain shelf presence.
The contract also ties into the wider context of Tayto’s standing in the snacks market. According to Tayto Group’s company history and business overview, the group is a long-established family-owned snack manufacturer with a large production footprint in the UK and a broad brand portfolio, underscoring the commercial significance of reliable logistics for high-volume snack producers. Industry materials note Tayto’s evolution since the 1950s and its capacity to produce millions of packs daily, highlighting why a stable distribution partner is critical to meet consumer demand.
